Summer Time, party time! - by Danny K. Malkowski, 19/06-2009 21:44
Hey guys!

Just took a time-out from my masters thesis because i need to tell you some amazing news - Its official! We will be attending to Roskilde Festival, the largest festival of Denmark this summer!!

More specifically, we will join the section "Green Footsteps" which is Roskilde Festival's own attempt do activate and inform people about climate issues and possible solutions for it. The YCC will have a stand from the 28th of June till the 5th of July. The name of the stand is "ClimateNet", where you can come and check out your facebook or e-mail account, chat with friends while simultaneously charging your batteries for your cell phone or iPod - all with the electricity you produce by riding our cycling machines!

So come join us! The weather fairy has promised truly GREAT weather for the whole week.

Oh, and have a look at our ClimateNet page, here on ycc2009.org, where you can see daily updated pictures from the Roskilde site and read who's sitting at the ClimateNet computers right now!

Just go to 'Take Action!' and then click on the Sub-section 'ClimateNet'.

Allright i'm off again, take care!

Best thoughts,
Danny

A change in strategy.. - by Danny K. Malkowski, 17/03-2009 21:30
Dear readers, dear friends,

It is with great disappointment that I must tell you that our final conference, the YCCE scheduled for august 2009, has been cancelled. Sadly, we didn't manage to get all the fundings together before our no-go deadline in the end of February 2009, despite a vast amount of effort. However, that won't stop us from reaching our goals - to activate youngsters in the climate debate and prepare a global statement for the COP15 in December 2009!

Last weekend, during the general assembly of UNF, i presented a new YCC strategy for the team in which our efforts will be increasing online. We are still having a lot of workshops globally. At this moment I have been informed that there has been organised more than 300 YCC workshops with more than 10,000 young participants in total! The workshop statements have already been combined to larger documents represented by the YCC Asia and YCC Mexico in February as well as the YCC workshops back in August 2008 which can all be found in our 'Past Events' section. Just press 'Take Action!' and the link will appear as a sub-section.

More workshops are still on schedule - Right now there are workshops being organised in Malta and Italy among others. Subsequently we are preparing an online campaign with youtube videos and facebook adds and the organisation of a series of smaller events in Denmark in the middle of august as a replacement for the YCCE. Wow, there's still plenty to look into and i'm looking forward to it!

Yours Sincerely,
Danny

What a meeting! - by Danny K. Malkowski, 09/01-2009 20:56
Today was an exciting day, since we had our first meeting regarding our national campaign and online campaign. It is intended to activate youngsters in the climate debate and have them to take a stand. We also wish to show them how they can make a difference in their own daily day lives!

The website will undergo some serious additions, including articles, weekly videos, comics, and online games! We are also going to add lots of information from our workshops. So stay tuned for the add-ons that will come within the next month!

I am for sure excited, and also astounded what this team can bring up on great ideas. Amazing.. Good work team!

Yours,
Danny

Merry Christmas - by Danny K. Malkowski, 23/12-2008 13:11
Dear supporters, visitors, partners and team!

I wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year with your relatives and friends!

2009 is the year where the YCC will have its largest impact. With our newest partner, the Danish Ministry of Education, we now have the fundament to begin our global campaign for 2009, which is striving to activate youngsters from everywhere, and show them how they can change their resource habits and make a stand in the climate debate.

I am looking forward to a fruitful and exciting new year, where I will have the pleasure to make a difference in the world together with all of you.

Yours Sincerely,
Danny
