EKJ is a consulting engineer company based in Copenhagen. EKJ has a staff of 160 employees - engineers, other academics and technicians - operating in consulting on buildings, constructions and environment.
Climate and environment
The most important actual challenge is to ensure a sustainable development for global world and reduce the negative effects of the mankind activities on the global climate. This challenge needs strong and courageous politicians and NGO’s, and knowledge at high level in technology, science and engineering.
EKJ has the capacity for the technical part of the mentioned purpose. EKJ works on projects for reducing energy consumption in processes and in private and public buildings, innovative energy technology, plans for reducing the product carbon footprint and for implementation of alternative energy sources. Buildings with very low or zero-energy consumption are an ultimate purpose.
Copenhagen Climate Change Conference (COP15)
In 2009 Copenhagen will be the host for the world leaders at COP15 and the worlds eyes are fixed on Denmark. It is important that Danish companies take part in the debate up to the conference and point on new technical alternatives. Creative technical and innovative engineering companies are not the whole, but some part of the solution. EKJ is ready to take the challenge.
Supporting YCC
EKJ has supported the YCC activities because of their engagement to take part in debate for the future climate and because young people has to be the essential spokesmen for sustainability of the world.
